Tantra

Tantra is said to have four ingredients

Tantra shows us the right way or the method to connect with our higher self within. it is an esoteric science as well as the art of realization.
Mantra, Yantra and Tantra are inter linked and inter-related. Tantra is said to have been expounded by Lord Siva to his Divine Spouse Parvati . That which comes from Shiva and Sakthi is within all of us as we are created in their likeness. All we have to do is to invoke the lost knowledge. I call it as lost knowledge because we have forgotten who we are and why we are here. Our understanding of the self , in most cases is identified with the vehicle rather then the self. Tantra is a science that was given to us so that we could reconnect with the self.
In all the old civilization Tantrik was the way of life. They were given different names, Wicca is one of them. The coming of modern religions like Christianity and Islam took away that privilege so that we could be controlled. Before we were totally free human beings, one with the law of nature. Let us together re-explore our birth right.
Before we go any further it would be proper for one to know what a Yantra and Mantra is.
Every concept is clothed with a sound-symbol and with a form-symbol. The conceptual reality is known as Devata, the sound symbol as Mantra and the form symbol as Yantra.
Devata is the life principle, the Mantra its subtle body, and the Yantra its gross body. Yantra is also known as the body and Mantra is known as the soul.
Mantra is derived from 'man' to repeat, 'tra' to protect or liberate. By repeating Mantra one is protected or liberated from the bondage to the whirlpool of this world of births and deaths or samsara. The word Yantra is derived from yam- to control also means house. Yantra is a firm pattern or design of requisite disposition, arrangement that control the power which the mantra has set ion operation. it is an abode of power, of the mantra.
