Memorial to Tanya Burr, killed 15 September 2002

Aged ten to eleven years

Tanya hobbling along on her broken ankle in January or February 1992. This was a result of her fall from a horse at a summer camp on 17 January 1992. Not long afterwards she also fell from my mare, Ngapa Da, after she got her head snagged on overhead branches and squealed. This was too much for Da, a purebred Arabian mare, who suddenly became convinced she had a wild animal clinging to her back. That second fall put paid to Tanya's interest in riding. We also sold our two horses around that time due to the remnant of our family farm being disposed of. The blur on the left is the camera cord, while the wall on the right shows when we re-wallpapered.

Tanya putting something on her face in mid-1992. I have no idea what!
