Memorial to Tanya Burr, killed 15 September 2002
Aged six to eight years
Walking down the looooong driveway at 'Strathbrae', with Auntie Rosemary on 20 November 1987. Rosemary grew up at 'Strathbrae' in Courtenay, Canterbury, and I and my sister and brothers spent many school holidays at this South Island sheep farm, which was long sold by this time. This driveway was always respected for its length. We were dairy farmer's children and so we found the sheep farming lifestyle an interesting contrast. Also this farm's remoteness, history - and its winter snow - intrigued us.
Returning to the North Island aboard the Arahanga on 22 November 1987
