17 August 2002 - The Wedding (part One)

Tanya's Diary - Saturday, 17 August 2002

"This morning we prepared ourselves for Russell and Jenna's wedding in the afternoon. Jenna and Elin went off to get their hair and makeup done. Then we all piled into the van to go to the church. We picked up Russell and the people he stayed the night with on the way.

Got to the church, watched the wedding. Took photos. Threw lots of little stars at Jenna. Then we went to the old church ruins to take more pictures, then off to the reception which they call here a party.

Waited for ages for dinner. I was so starving. We had trout, it was yummy. It looked like salmon. There were other things I didn't like (though). After dinner, more photos were taken, then some of us went to see a little museum upstairs in the big old house the party was held in. A lot of stuff was found in the attic. Clothes and letters - all sorts of stuff that belonged to people in the 17th and 18th centuries.

Then everyone had cake. I didn't though. Not hungry. I found a bed upstairs and slept for 3 hours before I was woken up to go home, where I went straight back to bed."
