~ Tales of Games Gone By ~

Like every Meet in the history of Ponydom, nothing goes according to plan. As meets went, this one did amazingly well for itself, especally given the mere two months we took to plan & execute it. We were really quite thrilled!

Of course, in any juggling act, a few balls will be dropped. Luckily in our case none of them involved missing persons, missing ponies, or food shortages.... simply, we didn't get to play all the games we planned. Among them were the MLP Bounce contest, Pin the Tail on the Pony, and the infamous Scavanger Hunt. The first two, simply ran out of time. The third, surprizingly, failed to rally any interest in the first place. *shrugs*

Here's a quick taste of what was missed; not to fear, we will have them all on hand for next year!

Pin the Tail on Pinwheel ~

Simple enough, you say.... perhapse it is. Here Tanya covers all the bases with this step-by-step tutorial of the famous game. Pinwheel had relatively little to say on the matter. CLICK ON PINWHEEL TO PLAY THE GAME WITH TANYA!

The Scavanger Hunt ~

If I wasn't running the meet, I'd have loved to partisipate in this game. So much so, that Tanya and I scouted out location (to prove it could be done) and even scoured ebay for those great auction pictures. We even had some pony-themed food collected, but in the course of planning the meet we got hungry. Here's a few tidbits of things you COULD have done, had you entered this contest. *G* More pics to come as we find them!

While there were many subcatagories to submit photos, such as "Pony About Town", "Pony Sightings", and the "What the Pony...?!" classes, one of my favorites - besides posing a pony beside a pink poodle - is the Ebay Abuse catagory. There were to prizes for auctions such as:
> most misabled pony acution
> worst ebay picture ever
> worst ebay speller ever
> worst conditioned pony ever
> strangest item mascarading as an MLP

I mean, where else can you get pictures like this?

I don't even know HOW to get a pony's hair to stand up like that.

But the best of all time has to be this one:

"Good bye, cruel world...."

I guess we'll never know the story behind this picture. Maybe it was hot in that appartment. Maybe the window offered an especally serene view. Or maybe, just maybe, Parasol realized suddenly that she was a giant freak of pony with wild, frizzy hair, and after a long day of listening to the newborn twins teasing and covorting, she decided to... um, visit that great dream castle in the sky....

I tell you, ONLY on Ebay!
