Here, in reverse chronological order, are all the cars I have ever owned. Enjoy!
This is my current pride and joy. It's a 1987
Lamborghini Countach 5000 Quattrovalvole in Rosso
Red. 5175cc 60 degree longitudinally mounted
aluminium V12, 0-60 in around 4.5 seconds, top speed
187mph. Purchased on 11th November 2004, she is RHD
and has the optional rear wing, Portman dashboard and air
conditioning. She has just 18,000 miles on the
clock. In the late eighties this was the world's
fastest production car, beating its nearest rival, the
Ferrari Testarossa, into a bloody pulp. This is the
four valve per cylinder version with six downdraft Weber
carbs. She has a cream leather interior piped in
red, and the world's widest wheels at the back shod with
Yokohama rubber. She is very, very quick. For more information, click here. |

My current everyday car is a
jet black Chrysler PT Cruiser Limited Edition. I have had
the windows blacked-out and a 10CD autochanger fitted,
alongside rear flaps, steel kick plates, and a reversing
radar system. Gothmobile or what? I've had it since July
2001 and it's a real smoothie. The 2-litre motor propels
it along at a fair whack considering all the toys it has.
Oh, the toys!!! Air conditioning, cruise control, heated
and motorised seats, traction control, ABS, PAS, full
leather interior and LOTS of chrome!!! I won't even
mention the things you can do in the back when you've
removed the rear seats! (ahem). To find out more, click here. |

My previous car was a bright
red MGF VVC, which I had for 4 years. Lovely but
NOT GOTH so it had to go! I bought it in February 1997 (hence the registration numbers 2 97) and took delivery in March. She was a peach, with an 1800cc engine with Variable Valve Control, yielding nearly 150 bhp and propelling the thing from 0-60 in a cool 7 seconds, and onward to top 130 mph. Even pounding her to death I still got more than 30 mpg too. Mmmm. Great fun and a heartily recommended set of wheels. If you want to know more about the MG, click here. |

A black Vauhall Tigra 1.6. I had her for 18 months before getting bored and pining for an MG. She had lots of toys including an electric sunroof but those rear seats were never big enough to carry any passengers anyway. Reasonably lively and Coupe of the Year at the time, but lacked a certain je ne sais pas.
A Covin replica of the classic Porsche 911 Turbo. It had a 2.8 litre Ford v6 shoe-horned into the rear engine bay. Very fast and had a nice black leather interior but sadly prone to breaking down so after about 6 months I got fed up with it and sold it.
This picture shows three Kit Cars I once owned. In the foreground, the Eagle SS with gull-wing doors, Wolfrace alloys and a 2 litre Ford Pinto engine. It was a real headturner but the steeply raked windscreen was a nightmare - impossible to demist and it reflected the sun right in my face, aside from turning the car into a greenhouse. At the back on the left, the bergundy Scorhill Magic open top two-seater sports that I built, with a 1.6 litre Ford Capri engine. On the right, an Eagle RV Jeep four seater with a Ford 1.6 litre engine.
Here's a nice view of the Eagle SS
...and another one. Sexy eh? That windscreen wiper was from a bus! :D
My first kit car - with a ford 1300GT engine with twin choke carb. This car was a genuine "point and squirt" with immaculate handling and very quick off the gridline. I used to race her in autotests. Sadly though the electrics were a complete botch and the old mechanicals let me down more than once... And yes that's me in the driving seat (I know, I know...)
The first car I ever drove - a Mini City with a 1 litre engine. The engine eventually committed suicide. Horrible, horrible little monster. |
