2. A dentist wants a small mirror that, when 2.2cm from a tooth, will produce a 4.5 x upright image. What kind of mirror must be used and what must its radius of curvature be?
3. A 4-cm arrow in 12cm in front of a convex mirror with a curvature radius of 10cm. Use ray diagram to find its image. Use mirror equation to verify your answer.
4. The speed of light in a certain substance is 85 percent of its value in water. What is the index of refraction of this substance?
5. Light is incident on an equilateral crown glass prism at a 45.0° angle to one face, Fig.1. Calculate the angle at which light emerges from the opposite face. Assume that n = 1.52.
