E-5 Instantaneous Velocity in One Dimension

We find the instantaneous velocity by plotting Dx vs Dt, the intercept of the line on the vertical axis is v_x.

We reduce the distance Dx toward the bottom of the incline, hence Dt reduces too. The ratio Dx/Dt should be increasing as the cart is moving toward the bottom, and the slope of the line should be positive.
