The ˇ°High-Fiveˇ± Youth Alumni, affectionately known as the ˇ°High-fiversˇ±, is one of the youth volunteer groups of the Central Singapore Community Development Council (CSCDC). Established in 1999, each member of the Alumni is a recipient of the Central Singapore ˇ°High-Fiveˇ± Youth Awards, which aims to recognize teenagers residing in the Central Singapore District for their all-rounded achievements in 5 key areas:
Each year, the awardees are selected through a rigorous process of interviews and put through a selection camp. They are then awarded with a plaque and given the opportunity to participate in an enriching cultural overseas exchange trip. Previous batches of awardees were sent to Hong Kong, Osaka, Shanghai, Melbourne and more recently, Xiamen.
With almost 120 members now, the Alumni is the largest group of youth volunteers of the CSCDC. For the past 5 years, the High-fivers have conceptualised and spear-headed many youth-oriented community projects, including:
