The Tales of Middle-earth - The Legacy of Gondor's Heir
by Soledad Cartwright
Introduction:
This is a sequel to my Boromir story arc called Fall Before Temptation, unfolding the consequences of Boromir's actions during his journey from Minas Tirith to Imladris and after, until his deat at the Fall or Rauros. As I see it, many things that happen in The Two Towers and The Return of the King, could be better understood if they had their roots in Boromir's recent actions.
Now to the disclaimer: they still aren't mine and will never be. All characters belong to the wonderful Prof. Tolkien, as does the main plot, entirely. Still no original characters involved. Slight plot alterations only serve character development (and fun with writing). No Elven speech, either (still struggling with English, which is challenging enough). Anything Elvish that might appear will be taken directly from the books.
Again, many thanks to Dwimordene, without whose wonderful story ''From the Other River Bank'' this arc (and its prequel) would never have been written.
And now to the stories:
Ice Blossom finished !!!
During his first visit in Edoras, Legolas seeks out the Lady Éowyn to give her back the silver clasp she gave Boromir a year earlier as a token of their understanding. He tells her about Boromir's death. Also a report about the First battle at the Fors of Isen and Théodred's death.
Frozen Flower
The whole story about Éowyn being attracted to Aragorn, this time of Éowyn's point of view. Her time after Théoden leaves for Isengard, her reflexions about Boromir, his relationship with Aragorn and about her own fate.
Chapter 2:?
Under Dernhelm's Cloak
Éowyn befriends Merry and manages to ride out with Rohan's host, under the disguise of Dernhelm.
Facing the Witch-King
Working title until I come up with something more original. Basically, Éowyn's battle with the Nazgúl Lord.
Meeting in Shadows
Éowyn meets Boromir and Faramir while still lying unconscious in the Houses of Healing.
Bittersweet Memories
Aragorn and Legolas have a little heart-to-heart with Faramir about his brother. Originally considered as the final part of my Boromir-storyline.
The Closing Circle
The real story about how Éowyn and Faramir finally got together.
