E-mail Manager v.1.0

  1. What is E-mail Manager?
  2. Email Manager is a multifunctional program for working with mailing lists. Email Manager is the easiest way to manage with great number of email addresses. Each mailing list can contain up to 32767 Email addresses. Number of lists is restricted only by capacity of your hard disk.

    Five main groups of operations can be implemented by this program:

    -Extract Email addresses from any files (text, htm, doc, binary etc.) and from the Clipboard

    -Edit the single mailing list (add, modify, delete or crop addresses)

    -Make usefull operations between lists (union, subtraction, intersection and splitting)

    -Insert addresses into mailer

    -Store mailing lists on the hard disk.

    I have used this program in my practical work since 1997 and continuously add new feartures. May be it will be sometimes useful for others.

    EXTRACT EMAIL ADDRESSES FROM FILES

    Below is a screenshot of dialog window for extracting email addresses from files.

    In this dialog window click the button "Select" to call standard dialog window to open files. Find and select files from which you want extract Email addresses. Multiselection is available by using SHIFT and Ctrl keys. You can select files of any format (txt, html, doc etc.) with the exeption for file format in which program keeps her own mailing lists (*.LSE). The list of selected files will be placed in the left window "Files to process". If you don"t want to process some files you can remove them from the list by using buttons "Remove" or "Remove All".

    To begin extracting click the button "Extract". The program will extract Email addresses from selected files and put them in the right window "Extracted addresses". There may be duplicate addresses.

    To add extracted addresses into the main mailing list click the button "Transfer". During the transfer all the duplications of addresses will be excluded.

    THE LISTS OPERATIONS

    Union

    Using "Load..." buttons open two lists (*.LSE) in the working windows "List 1" and "List 2" and then click "Union" button. The result will be in the working window "List 3". The result is the list of ALL Email addresses in "List 1" and "List 2". Email addresses are not repeated.

    To add result into the main mailing list click button "Transfer". During the transfer all the duplications of addresses will be excluded.

    Example. List3 is a result of union List1 and List2.

    Subtraction

     Using "Load..." buttons open two lists (*.LSE) in the working windows "List 1" and "List 2" and then click "Subtraction" button. The result will be in the working window "List 3". The result is the list of Email addresses in "List 1" excluding the common for "List 1" and "List 2" addresses.

    To add result into the main mailing list click button "Transfer". During the transfer all the duplications of addresses will be excluded.

    Example. List3 is a result of subtraction List1 and List2.

    Intersection

    Using "Load..." buttons open two lists (*.LSE) in the working windows "List 1" and "List 2" and then click "Intersection" button. The result will be in the working window "List 3". The result is the set of common addresses in the "List 1" and "List 2".

    To add result into the main mailing list click button "Transfer". Durind the transfer all the duplications of addresses will be excluded.

    Example. List3 is a result of intersection of List1 and List2.

    Split

    Using "Load..." button open one list (*.LSE) in the working window "List 1". Select any address in the window "List 1" and click "Split" button. The tesult will be in the two working windows "List 2" and "List 3". The result is "List 1" divided on two parts.

    To add one of these parts into the main mailing list use Shifting lists between working windiws buttons and "Transfer" button.

    Example. List2 and List3 is result of splitting List1.

    Shifting lists between working windows

    The set of buttons in the frame "Shifting lists between working windows" give you possibility to move list from one working window to another. It is very usefull when you are making a consequence of lists operations.

    You must remember: author is not responsible for any damage of your system or your data, even if this damage is the result of the incorrect work of the E-mail Manager.

     

  5. How can You receive E-mail manager?
  6. You can download the latest version of the E-mail Manager from this download location.

    You will get packed file emailmgr.zip by size 179 KB.

  7. Installation.
  8. You don't need any special installation for E-mail Manager. Just unzip the file emailmgr.zip to any folder on your disk - and run EmailMgr.exe. E-mail Manager requires about 365 KB of your hard drive space.
