LUKASZ GLOWACKI
Poland
"I try to 'glue' my intuitive thinking with the conscious making of the facts of the present. Such action can be described as a sequence of events, possessing a 'virgin' quality of the moment. However, limiting this process to a factography, i.e. the construction and order of a sequence of activities, would only be my 'mask of shame'. Arranging the situation of performance is for me, in a certain sense, a deepened self-portrait of its 'author'. Exposing oneself to this situation is like taking part in drawing the so-called 'Odin's Rune' - the only one in the aspect of its present, which can make its self-image more precise, give the hope of finding a way out of an inner impasse, or express it. This psychological self-experience, combined with the realisation of my symbolic thinking, gives the spectator a potential possibility of an empathic co-experience of the existing synchronicity. However, I alone must answer myself whether the attempt has succeeded, whether it is an image of my transformation - or the need for it."
