Emma Johnson is an installation
artist who lives and works in Suffolk. She exhibits regularly both in this country
and abroad. After training as a painter, first at Reading University, and then
at The Slade School of Fine Art, her work moved towards the manipulation of
architectural space, and the use of very temporary materials to make site-specific
works. Working with colleague Michael Lumb as "GRIP", In 1999 she
co-curated "Sites Abroad 2" at Suffolk College, and has since exhibited
in France, Hungary, Latvia, Poland, and The Ukraine, She is also a member of
Asylum Studios at Bentwaters, where she is working alongside the other members
in developing a regional centre for the visual arts.
