Everyone in Transylvania has a story. The question is only how much of it they reveal. Compiled here are the stories of important Transylvanians, and others that you might bump into as well. Who knows?
Count Vladislaus Dracula, often known simply as Dracula or Count Dracula, is one of the most feared beings in all the world, especially in Transylvania. He has lived as a vampire for around 400 centuries, after his murder in , and has created many fledgelings in that time. It is common knowledge that after the twelfth stroke of midnight on their first full moon, Dracula has power over werewolves.

Dracula spends most of his time at Castle Dracula, which is somewhere in the Carpathian Mountains. The only known way to get there is through the home of the Valerious family, and even they do not fully understand the secret behind it. Recently, Dracula has been spending quite some time at Frankenstein's castle, though it is believed his affairs there are over and done with. A large palace in Budapest is also at his disposal, and he enjoys going to the Masquerade Ball there, usually with a... 'guest'...

Dracula originally had three brides; Marishka, Verona, and Aleera. All three were killed in the recent battle of Gabriel Van Helsing with their master, Dracula. Three of Aleera's children survived, however, and live with the Count and Countess; Gyorgy, Stefan, and Liliana.
Countess Nadjiana Dracula of Transylvania, and current leader of the Dracula Clan, was little known until recently. She is the elder sister of the Count, and it is believed that she made her brother a vampire. Now believed to be the first of all vampires, Nadjiana is very powerful. Whilst her brother must wait until after the twelfth stroke of midnight to gain control over a werewolf, she demands fealty as soon as wolf is in their blood. However, she is also known to teach werewolves how to better control their wolf, as in the case of Velkan Valerious.

Nadjiana resides in Castle Dracula with two werewolves, Keja and Vedel. Both are considered her personal servants, and many say that the reason she does not hunt with her brother and his children is that she feeds off of them. She also spends time at the palace in Budapest, though it is currently undergoing some reconstruction, due to the sunlight bumb left there by a clever friar.

The Countess died just over a year before her brother, and it is unknown why their father did not pledge to destroy her as well as his son. Some speculate that because she did not hunt to kill, and because she was his only daughter, he merely told the people that she had died, and left her to go her own way.

It is not known exactly where she spent the past four centuries, only that she remained out of sight, and out of memory. Now, she is feared more than her brother, but known to have lessened the number of meals that her family takes from the village. Perhaps this is due to some sort of agreement she worked out with Prince Velkan, in exchange for her tutelage in regard to controlling his wolf.
