My name is Alan Keyes and I live in Flagstaff, AZ, I came from Chicago area where my Father was Chief of Police in Woodridge, IL. I was born in Wichita Falls, TX while my father was in the U.S. Air Force. I grew up partly in California and mostly in Michigan in the Albion, Charlotte area. My last year of high school was at Maine East H.S. in Des Plaines, IL where my father was teaching at the Traffic Institute at Northwestern University. I received my undergraduate degree from DeVry University in 1998. My interest as a youth was Boy Scouts, I work as camp as a Staff member for four years. I live with my parents who move in with me December 2002.
My back group up
to this point has been Project Management of database application. Right now I just became as of January
2003 the Chief Technical Office (CTO) of Americas Direct Line Malls (ADL Malls)
which was started from an regional office of Dana Corporation which had its office in the New York
Trade Center, and no longer exist.
I am responsible for writing specifications of
the application development planning and maintenance of the organization
needs. Developing plans and budgets
for product development for the company.
Make recommendation for equipment and facilities for the technical
mission and hire the required technical personnel. Right now there is a four person
Management team, and six part-time employees doing project work. Since this is a startup company I am not
making in money at the job, so I am looking now for a paid position at the same
time as working half time with this company.
Prior to ADL Malls I was an Application Developer for The Advertising Checking Bureau, Inc. (ACB) in Tempe, Arizona. Where I created audit programs for checking web pages submitted to meet program requirement for an Intel Company project, which receive finical payments once, a quarter or monthly review to ensure they meet guidelines. Also I was responsible for a web application for Microsoft for it Partnership Program which provided millions of dollars for resources to these Partner Companies.
Prior to my time with ACB I was a consultant with IT Connection where I worked on a project for Rental Service Company in Scottsdale, Arizona. Was a Project Manger for a MS SQL Server and the databases operation and application. Created, updated, and maintained databases on the SQL Server as required. Preformed all required services on the database server to including repairing, fixing the databases as needed. Creating GUI interfaces for a Data Warehouse from AS 400 database system to a MS SQL Server WAN system. Writing expert programs used by management to evaluate company performance. Monitored monthly pull of 20 GB of data to a SQL Server from a 17 TB and growing Master Database on a AS400. Created Crystal Report to generate printed report for clients.
When I finished college and my first job was with MicgoAge in Tempe AZ where Provided high level technical support (Help Desk) as a member of the team to card customer of Fortune 500 companies over the phone on a 24 hour seven day a week basis. Provided support for DOS, Windows 3.1, Windows 95, Windows 98, and Windows NT 4.0. Support Internet programs such as TCP/IP, IRC, ZIP, FTP, Newsgroups, Email, Netscape Navigator, and MS Internet Explorer. Provided support for commercial software i.e., MS Office Suite, MS Outlook, MS Project, Lotus 1-2-3, Lotus WordPro, Lotus Freelance, and Lotus Approach
While in College I worked as an employee in the College Library computer operations in an educational and administrative environment, at a department level. I took the non-computer environment of the Library. Created a computer network system consisting of a small LAN, a CD-ROM server information system for research, on-line information access to databases and Internet services. Redesigned the library network from no computers to Windows NT operating environment for the operation of the management of the library. Improved the database management i.e. Access, Sybase SQL Anywhere, Winabago Library database. Trained staff on all computer programs as requested. Was the Technical specialist in the department for all computer-related activities. Move the Library into the age Internet services provided FTP, ZIP, HTML, corporate web browsing, web search engines, and general Internet instruction.
Upon leaving High School I went in to the US Army for fourteen year. I was in the Army Security Agency and stationed all most all my time overseas, in Korea, Okinawa, Thailand, and Germany. I went to Monterey Language School for Korean, and was trained as an Area Intel Specialist. I made the rank of Staff Sergeant before leaving the service for college. While in the military service I became involved in the international side of Boy Scouts as a Volunteer as a International Committee Members, I helped plan and organize several World Jamborees, and several Jamborees of different countries including Korea, Japan, and American. I was also Scoutmaster of several Troops while in the Army, Troop 62 Wurzburg, Germany 1979 - 1982, Troop 123 Naha, Okinawa around 1978, Troop at DLI, and Montery Californa, 1976.
In my spear time I have been running events on the internet for Ultima Online and Anarchy Online tow of the largest MMORPG game. I help run a team of people to create events during the game on a 7/24 basis with about 30 to 80 people on the team and I am the Coordinator level reasonability.
