Reaper was another one of the writing group projects from the summer of 2000 that never got off the ground. I was working with two other guys on a possible television series. They pitched the idea of Death being a job description, rather than a specific person. Naturally, Death would want to retire after a while, so he/she would need to take an apprentice. This is the most recent of those apprentices. I wrote up this partial teleplay, but it wasn't exactly met with rousing enthusiasm. They wanted darker, grittier. (I'm guessing something like a supernatural Sopranos.) I saved this for another time. I gave my ideas for the series, making it more of a Sixth Sense type story. It was later turned into Soul Searcher. (check it out) Here you have my ideas for Reaper. I will probably not get back to this story, unless sufficient interest is shown by people who would like to develop this as a television pilot episode or a comic book, etc. My ideas for the characters are as follows: Alexandros (Death) - Laurence Fishburne Angela Somerset - Alexis Bledel
