Go On, Read Me Sir! Go On Sir! Oooh! Sir! Suit You Sir!

Everyone has to have one of these sad little pages, so here's mine.

The what do I do and the what have I got to say bits are best.

What do I do?

That's not a who do I do question. I am a Cardiff residing student in Cardiff University studying for a Masters(eng) in Electrical and Electronic Engineering. My real love however is music. I am a lead guitarist and singer with a collection of three electric and three acoustic guitars. I write many of my own songs with over eighteen complete and always more on the go. My guitars are:

  • Suki, An Encore classical - 3/4 size, steel strung
  • Venus, A Fender Squier Stratocaster - see below to the left, boring, ordinary
  • Brina, A Hustler acoustic - bog standard shape, sunburst (hummingbird on scratchplate)
  • Jade, An Encore LP - see below centre, what a babe, and no, that's not the pig
  • Mae, A Crafter Mini Electro Acoustic - LP shape and size but acoustic
  • Tara, A B.C. Rich Platinum Series JR-V - Flying V with sharper points than normal, see below right
  • Squier StratEncore LPB.C.Rich V

My favoured styles are punk - rock - metal. Cick here for a picture list of favoured bands.

I have been a caver for many years now and via our caving page, you can see details of how many trips I have done in each cave I have visited, where I have been in each and other details such as accidents and record trips. I am also on the Gwent cave rescue team. Details have also been given of all rescues I have attended.

I do not confess to being an outgoing person as I have only been out twice in two years of being in University and on both occasions failed to even get drunk. I have since become teetotal (that's for over a year now). I have however managed to find myself another half, Rebecca, and we tied the knot in July 2000. We have been together since September '97.

    Where have I been?

    Rotating Globe

Having begun life in Birmingham, I moved at the age of two to a hillside near Abergavenny in South Wales, close to where my father now lives. My mother now lives a few miles further into Wales near Ebbw Vale. Between the ages of six and nine, my family lived in Saudi Arabia, for two years in Al Hoffuf and one year in Al Riyadh. During that time, I was able to visit bedouin camps in the desert and see many other cultures of this very 'different' country. Between the ages of ten and thirteen I attended Saint Patrick's Academy, a boarding school in Co. Mayo, Republic Of Ireland. Since then I have been educated in Crickhowell High School from age fourteen to eighteen.

I have also visited Nepal, India (somewhat briefly), Pakistan, France, Germany, Hungary, Liechtenstein, Switzerland and Luxembourg. I want to some day see Canada and Australia as well.
