Tarragal band commits itself to making sure that your wedding reception is unique.There is no 'standard' approach, where every wedding is done the same way. The band works closely with the bride, groom, parents and other vendors to ensure that the unique personality of the happy couple shines through.
YOUR WEDDING, YOUR CHOICE OF MUSIC
Tarragal offers a mix of music that includes Oldies, Big Band/Swing, Rock & Roll, Country, 70s, 80’s and 90’s as well as Current Dance Music.From the oldest guest, through to the kids, each will hear songs they know and love and can do their favourite dances to (old time dancing, rock’n’roll, country/line dancing, disco and theme dances such as the Nutbush, Chicken Dance etc).

You have the option to decide what you would like the band to play or not to play -the choice is always yours. Alternatively, you can just leave it to us, safe in the knowledge that we are seasoned professionals who will cater to the tastes of your guests and the ‘theme’ of the evening, whether it be fun or sophistication.
WE WILL ADAPT TO YOUR NEEDS
We'll even learn your song just for you. If there is a special song that you'd like for your wedding first dance that isn't on the band's songlist, we will be happy to learn it for you. The same holds true for any special Father/Daughter dance, Mother/Son dance, or other special moments.When you need quiet background instrumental music, we will oblige happily. If you would like a relative or friend to sing a special song, that’s fine too. Want us to dress formally or casually...just let us know. Need us to just disappear? We’ll even do that too!
Later in the evening, once the formalities are over, our full sound and huge songlist promises to keep your guests entertained and on their feet. They will find our energy and enthusiasm contagious. We endeavour to get every willing guest involved and can even teach easy, fun dances on the spot, which will get the most reluctant guest off their seat!
MASTER OF CEREMONIES
Can’t find a suitable or willing relative or friend to act as Master of Ceremonies? No problem. Tarragal can offer an MC service, coordinating events like the bouquet toss, cake cutting, and of course, the introduction of the bridal party.Tarragal will even make the effort to go over each and every name to be introduced, to verify correct pronunciation before the day of the reception. We can also work off a pre-arranged worksheet (see Master of Ceremonies Form document) to insure accuracy.

We care about your wedding, we know how it feels, we’ve been there…it’s special!Because we’ve all had our own weddings and attended and played for many others, we feel an innate responsibility to make your wedding a success. We can’t help it, it comes naturally! We may be hopelessly romantic women, but we have the advantage of experience and objectivity. During your reception, when you are fully occupied with the excitement and romance of it all, we can take a step back and look at how things are going from a logical, organised point of view.
It is this level of care and commitment to personalized service that sets Tarragal ahead of most bands or entertainment agencies. As an independent band, you always deal directly with the band, and not through a third party agent or middleman, where you have to hope that your vision of the reception is passed on to the band.
SAVE MONEY
You save money by booking directly with the band. Most agents typically charge a commission for their services. We know weddings are expensive and it makes sense to avoid commission fees by booking directly with the band and using that saving elsewhere in the wedding.Because we can offer our MC Service, you can also save time, effort and money by not hiring and co-ordinating a separate MC.
