Ranma 1/2 |
This is Ranma Saotome. He is a martial artist who studies a personal discipline called 'Anything-Goes.' While training with his father at the cursed Jusenkyo springs, Ranma was knocked into the 'Spring of Drowned Girl,' and now every time he gets splashed with cold water, he becomes a buxom red-headed young girl. Hot water reverses the effect, giving Ranma back his manliness until the next time he gets splashed. Gender-changing isn't his only problem, however. It seems that Ranma's lazy panda-changing father, Genma, has frequently engaged his son to numerous young women, most notably Akane Tendo of the Tendo Dojo. Cocky by nature, Ranma makes enemies almost as easily as he gains fiancees. His most capable rival is the directionally-challenged Ryoga Hibiki. |

Ryoga Hibiki |
![]() |
![]() |
Ryoga Hibiki is one of Ranma 1/2's more humorous characters. He is truly a cursed individual. He has a knack for getting lost anywhere, even inside houses, and when splashed with cold water, he has a tendency to turn into a cute little black piglet, dubbed P-Chan by Akane. He's Ranma's most worthy and fiercest rival, almost matching the pigtailed boy in skill, though his stye is rough and more power-focused. Where Ranma uses his agility to his advantage, Ryoga tends to rely solely on his inhuman strength. Ryoga easily slips into bouts of depression, and tends to blame his rival for everything wrong that's happened to him in his young, yet somewhat tragic, life. Oh, and did I mention the fangs? No one knows why Ryoga has them, and he's the only person in the series who does, but who cares? They're hella sexy. RAWR! -pounce- |
female Ranma |
Akane Tendo |
![]() |
Akane is one of Ranma's many fiancees, a fact which seems to irk the poor girl to no end. Though the pair have their moments, Ranma and Akane's relationship is usually a strained and violent one. Normally a sweet and caring individual, Akane tends to get a short fuse where Ranma is concerned. Akane also practices martial arts, and is good in her own right, but tends to be out-classed by the top-notch fighters that populate Nerima, the district of Tokyo that the series is set in. She lives with her father, two sisters (Kasumi and Nabiki, respectively), along with Ranma Saotome and his dad. Ryoga is in love with Akane, who is oblivious. She's also oblivious to the fact that her prized 'pet,' P-Chan, is in fact the fanged boy. |
Mousse |
Mousse is an Amazon warrior hailing from China. Almost as blind as a bat, he is usually seen with thick coke-bottle-lensed glasses that obscure his surprisingly gorgeous teal eyes. With long, flowing black hair and gorgeous traditional Chinese robes, Mousse is quite the looker. In the series, he's devoted to and mercilessly beaten by a purple-haired Amazon warrior maiden named Shampoo, who is convinced Ranma is her one true love. Mousse is a hidden-weapons master, and fights by hurling various bladed instruments out of his seemingly-empty sleeves. He also has a Jusenkyo curse, one that turns him into a duck when splashed with cold water. |

Tatewaki Kuno |
![]() |
Tatewaki Kuno, the self-proclaimed Blue Thunder of Furinkan High's Kendo club, is a lovable yet arrogant prick. There really is no way around that. He's delusional, narcisstic, has a crazed psycho for a sister, and can never seem to make up his mind! He constanly runs around with his wooden bokken, claiming his love for either Akane or the 'Pig-tailed Girl,' as he calls Ranma's female half. Although in the series, Kuno is portrayed mostly as the rich boy who can do no wrong, I think there's a heart and a mind in there. When I write Kuno, I tend to write him out-of-character, because if I wrote him canon, I'd likely go insane. |
Yu-Gi-Oh! (Yuugiou) |
Seto Kaiba |
![]() |
Seto Kaiba is the owner and CEO of Kaiba Corporation. He and his younger brother, Mokuba, were orphaned after their parents died, and then adopted by an imposing man named Gozaburo after Seto beat him in a game of chess. Incredibly smart and calculating, Kaiba isn't the most likable of guys. He generally keeps to himself, Mokuba being his one exception. A genius at computers, Seto built the world's largest supercomputer that can hack into about anything. He plays Duel Monsters, and has a rather interesting history that it somehow connected to the game. He also strangely resembles a certain ancient Egyptian High Priest. |
![]() |
Despite the above picture, Jounouchi is a very laid-back and likable guy. Best friends with Honda (Tristan) and Yugi, Jou is an amateur duelist who rose surprisingly through the ranks to reach 2nd place at Duelist Kingdom. Jou tends to get along with everyone, Seto Kaiba being his one exception. The two are like oil and water, especially when Kaiba starts referring to Jounouchi as being a second-rate duelist. |
Katsuya Jounouchi (Joey Wheeler) |
Final Fantasy VIII |
Squall Leonhart |
![]() |
Squall Leonhart is the reluctant hero of the game Final Fantasy Eight. A loner by nature, Squall was an orphan who was sent to a military academy (Balamb Garden) at a young age to become a SeeD, a type of mercenary. The scar he received on his face was courtesy of one Seifer Almasy, a fellow Balamb cadet. The two become fierce rivals as a war breaks out between Galbadia and the rest of the world. A huge battle between sorceresses puts Squall and his band of orphaned SeeDs in the middle of it all, and gunblader Squall is forced to save the world, or die trying. |

Irvine Kinneas |
Irvine Kinneas, at your ladies' service. Irvine is a Galbadian sharpshooter who meets up with Squall and his merry band of SeeDs when the group is ordered to kill the Sorceress Edea. A sniper who has a problem with killing people, Irvine is a complex character who tries to come off seeming aloof and unconcerned, when in reality he cares very much. He harbors a secret the others don't find out about until halfway through the game. |
Selphie Tilmitt |
![]() |
Selphie Tilmitt is an odd candidate for SeeD. Light-hearted by nature, she's always upbeat and ready to face any challenge head-on. She helps the morale of her friends immensely when times are tough, and never backs down at a challenge. She's also a computer whiz, and can pretty much do anything she sets her mind to. |
Tekken |
Hwoarang |
![]() |
![]() |
Hwoarang, also known as the Blood Talon, is a street thug who hails from Korea. He specializes in his own style of Tae Kwon Do, and studied under the reknowned and respected master Baek Do San before he disappeared. Hwoarang is an arguer by nature, and loathes the Mishimas. He claims to hate Jin Kazama, but tends to always help out the martial artist when he needs it. |
Jin Kazama |
![]() |
Jin Kazama is the son of Jun Kazama and Kazuya Mishima. Like Kazuya, Jin harbors the devil gene in his blood, which means he has a tendency to turn into a winged demon if so provoked. He's normally a gentle and caring individual, who hates lies and deceit above all other things. He'd much rather be in a forest surrounded by animals than near corrupted, disillusioned people. |

Mai Kujaki (Valentine) |
![]() |
Mai is an independent woman, a loner at times, and a top-rate duelist. She believes she needs no one but herself, though she is proved wrong on many occasions. She builds a tenuous friendship with the Yugi-tatchi (group) throughout the series. |
Isis (Ishizu Ishtar) |
![]() |
Isis is the older sister to Malik Ishtar. She was also once the holder of the Millenium Necklace. A strong, rather stoic young woman, Isis cares very deeply for her brother and would go to any length to protect him. She is also a fairly good duelist. |
