Work Experience:

         August 1999-Present: TD Visa Centre
          Duties included authorizing credit cards, answering merchant inquiries, and picking
          up lost, stolen, or revoked cards.  At the present time, I am a Customer Service          
          Representative, where I answer all cardholder and branch inquiries.  I also block and
          send new replacement cards, count statistics, train, and fulfill other adminstrative
          duties.

         
January 1998-August 1999: CIBC Visa Centre: Intria Items, Inc.
         Reviewed and distributed monthly bank statements and cheques for CIBC customers.

Acted as a night deposit prepper, where I counted and verified corporate and retail
          merchant night deposits.  Involved handling large amounts of cash.

          Sterilized instruments and equipment, set-up dental trays, and restocked supplies for
          a dental office.

          Delivered newspapers for two routes, three days a week, and I also collected

Can read,write, and speak Punjabi fluently.

Typing speed: approximately 50 wpm

Familiar with utilizing the internet, Windows, Microsoft Word and Excel, Simply Accounting, Claris Works, Corel, and Spreadsheets.

Certificate for Athletic Taping, level 1 and 2 from the Sports Medicine Council of BC.

Received a First Aid Certificate from St. John's Ambulance.

Volunteer Experience:

           1996-Present: 
             An active member of the SSA (Sikhs Students Association) at UBC.

           
September 1999:
            Participant of the Diversity in Policing Conference, which was coordinated to
            discuss and find solutions for the present barriers that minorities face when    
            seeking employment in the police force.

           
September 1999-April 2000:
            Elected Treasurer for Mosaic, a multicultural club at UBC.

           
March 1998:
            Selected to represent BC in the Labor Market Partners Forum Conference in
            Toronto.
 
           
September 1996-June 1997:
            Active member of The World, Music and Dinner/Dance Committee's for the 
            first graduating class at H.J. Cambie Secondary School.

            Completed instructional and practical course with the BC Ambulance Service of the
            Richmond Division.  Included a 12 hour ride-along with Richmond paramedics.
