The Men of the 13th TAS

Nexx

Born in England during the First World War, this rather eccentric chap spent his youth building sports cars before trying his hand at aircraft engineering. This is where he found his love of flying.
He joined the Royal Air Force in late 1938 and stood out immediately at not being the "typical British Officer"! He persevered and served gallantly with 3(F) Sqn flying over Europe. His technical skills were then needed when tasked to evaluate axis aircraft with the 1426 (Enemy Aircraft Circus) flight. This is where he was really noticed and chosen to join the secret 1450 (Special Ops) Flight, which was later found out to be the RAF's doorway to the famous allied squadron, the 13th Tactical Aero Squadron.
Always yearning, always learning.... and even when his feet are firmly on the ground, his head is high in the clouds!
