Lungs Under Stress and Trauma meet on the 1st Tuesday of each month at 1:00pm in the Community Health Centre at Kings Meadows. Contact:-Clarrie on 6334 0610 or Laurie on 6326 1904. LUST also has several items which can be borrowed by members or hired by others such as a scooter, nebulisers and an airline compatible oxygen bag.

Key events:

Some members visited patients from LIPS in the Launceston Hospital.

Donated airfares to Les Ricks daughter so that she could see her father. He passed away on the 24th of June.

Held a raffle. Thanks to the members who spent hours at the supermarkets.

Donated money to members in hospital interstate.

Welcomed many new members some referred from doctors and some who buy our raffle tickets.

Discussed issues surrounding trips to Melbourne for treatment by patients and carers.

Had a talk from podiatrist about care of feet.

Bingo has been changed to social afternoons with sportscards and raffles due to the difficulties in meeting legal requirements.

Melbourne cup luncheon was well attended and enjoyed by all.

Margaret Millwood passed away and donations to LUST were made at the funeral.

Said goodbye to Eric who has been delivering oxygen to patients for many years. His cheerful wit will be greatly missed by all his regulars.

Received donation of $100 from the LT CB radio club.
