Southern Tasmanian Association for Respiratory Support & friends meets on the 1st Thursday of each month from 1pm at the Hobart Baptist Church Hall at 284 Elizabeth St, North Hobart.

Some members have passed on and a drive is needed to get new members.
Luckily a Respiratory Nurse and an Asthma nurse are members and at meetings we can ask them many of the questions that concern us.
At the meetings we have enjoyed support from one another as we have not had guest speakers due to the small membership.

L.I.P.S.

Lungs in Poor Shape meet on the second Thursday of each month at 1.30pm and rotate their venue between Somerset and Ulverstone. The location is advertised in the Advocate under News of the North West.

L.I.P.S. happenings:

Membership has been steady and may improve if Devonport meetings are reintroduced later this year.
L.I.P.S. fifth Birthday Luncheon was held at the Returned Services Club, Ulverstone on June 13th. Lust members made a bus trip for the event.
Topics for speakers this year have included:- Asthma, Commonwealth Carelink Centres and Life as a Deck Boy.
