and Mrs Brenda Anderson from the Carers Association of Tasmania. 
During the year we have had some of our members in hospital: Nola Webb, John Barnes, Ken Kerr, Peter Ryan and while Peter was in hospital June was banned because she was really ill at home, Hec Midson, Vince Worker, Tom Youl. If I've missed anyone I'm sorry but I hope you are all feeling better now. 
We were very sad to lose two of our members during the year, our Secretary to the Secretary Graeme Withrington and Kaye Cox a good helper when possible. Our prayers and thoughts go out to their families. 
We also had the chance to celebrate with two of our members on their marriage. 
Congratulations Les and Gladys and very best wishes for the future. 
We had a "Mystery Bus Tour" on the 15th March starting with a beautiful drive with 
Peter McDermott in his comfortable bus down through Westbury, Deloraine (for morning tea, supplied by Joanne and Peter) and turned off this side of Ulverstone, down through Gunns Plains and arrived at Wings Animal Farm. There we had a beautiful salad and sweets lunch then toured the farm before coming home. The scenery was magnificent! It was truly a magical day. Thank you to Peter and Joanne and everyone at Wing's farm. 
During the last month or two Ken and Edith Kerr, Clarrie Peet, Liz Burns and Laurie Shipp gave talks regarding smoking and the results of at Grammar School. Students Listened attentively, asked questions and then wrote individual letters of thanks to members of L.U.S.T for their time and talks. 
In closing I would like to sincerely thank Ruth for all her help in organizing our meeting and Bingo times and room, also for doing our photocopying. She is a real gem and nothing is too much trouble for her. Thelma for cards and flowers etc. Bronwyn for letters. Joy and Hec for Bingo prizes and afternoon teas. Bette, Betty and Marianne for being our hostesses and helping with afternoon tea. Laurie once again for being my sounding board. Last, but not least, every member for being there for each other.
