The Overhang

This is the largest overhanging climb at Calshot. Routes vary from E1 5b upwards. The climb shown here (turquoise) is at the lower end of this scale, starting on the arrete and crossing over to the main overhang wall just after the steepest part of the overhang starts to level out. The overhang itself is approximately 13m high and juts out about 9m. The main obstacle on this route is the distance between holds and the cross over itself (feel the gravity pull when transferring over the 2nd leg!). The holds themselves are quite big and juggy which is the main reason for the grade being this low.
