Feeeeeeeeeeel ..... like a Butterflyyyyyyyyy!!! Rave rave rave. The bass throbbed, the drums thumped, the backing singers gave their best performance on the night, and the BIC was transformed into a dance club! Male dancers donned black leather (kinky!) hoods, and themes of S&M (although not too controversial - this is Kylie 'tongue in cheek' Minogue, after all!!) were apparent. Hands went up in the air as the audience clearly fancied themselves as true ravers, and my camera seemed to take rather a lot of photos! By the climax of the song, everyone was exhausted!
So Now Goodbye continued the high NRG feel of Butterfly through to Shocked. Clearly a track that many of the audience are not 'au fait' with as yet, and perhaps would have been better replaced with Disco Down or the Metro mix of Please Stay (why was her latest single omitted - Kylie and Parlophone were SO adamant about releasing that track over Butterly, Light Years and Your Disco Needs You, it doesn't make sense not to include it). Nevertheless, a good fun track that kept the audience singing and dancing.
Shocked ended the main show. As with Intimate and Live, Kylie rapped the lyrics herself (eyes shut - see photo) and did an impressive job. This song just keeps building up all the way through and will stay with Kylie as one of her best singles ever. Curtain lowers;cue audience yelling for her return and ping of feet. We don't have to wait long at all ..... /H2>
