Set 1

Tracks performed: Step Back In Time, Wouldn't Change A Thing, Got To Be Certain, Always Find The Time, Enjoy Yourself

Kylie kids queue here said the sign. That we missed, despite having arrived at the Pavilions at 2pm. Not wanting to join the back of a very long queue we pushed in at the front and got front row seats. Not quite sure how we managed it, and even better we met a nice boy who offered to look after all the merchandise we bought whilst we ran to the front to get good photos.

The set list was pinned to a monitor (which i later retrieved for my collection) and before too long, the familiar tunes of Step Back In Time started to belt out. A very impressive entrance from Kylie - dressed in a futuristic spangly (over-huge) blue bra, white miniskirt/suspender combination and perspex coat; the entrance lit up with an amazing white light which reflected off the jacket and make Kylie look like an alien. The crowd screamed and Kylie progressed onto the stage by a series of robotic "alien" moves. Not wanting to emphasise the word alien, but check out the video Dublin - The Point. Eyes totally focused ahead, expressionless, moving like a robot ..... how would you describe it? It worked well - when the intro stopped and SBIT came on, everyone was out of their seats and dancing.

Wouldn't Change a Thing - wonderful as usual - one of the best Kylie songs of the "early" period.

Got To Be Certain - "chairs" and much cross legging of Kylie and the girl dancers who pretend to be innocent little schoolgirls, despite the outfits.

Always Find The Time has Kylie calling for Darryl, her "main man", and much bum fondling is entered into. A bit like the "Open Your Heart" routine from Madonna's Blond Ambition tour. I shouldn't use the word Madonna (all Kylie fans hate the comparisons) but the word was certainly used by most journalists throughout their reviews of this concert.

Enjoy Yourself, the concluding song in this section was not featured on the video. I can't remember her singing it particularly badly, but 10 years on, I can't really remember it at all!
