White water rafting was pretty exciting. We went down the New river in West Virginia. The relaxation before and after the actual rafting was the best part. We camped for two nights. The rafting was fun until our tour guide told us to watch out for the "meatgrinders", which are areas of the river that continuously pull you down, and are really hard to get out of. Then there was the "Greyhound" which was a forty foot "meatgrinder". It was really a good time, very exciting! At the end when they provided a free keg of beer I decided it was a pretty good trip.
The trip to Myrtle Beach was awesome. I had never been and my aunt and I stayed in a very nice suite. We were right on the beach and went to the water every day. It was very relaxing and the weather was beautiful.
Although Chicago is less than four hours away from Terre Haute, this was my first trip. I had a great time, especially hanging out with friends that I have known for so long. We walked around town and went to the Navy Pier. I wish we would have had more time to see more sights. I hope to return to Chicago soon.
