The Third Trimester

School has started again, and I am only teaching part-time this year.  While I'm still very busy (mostly do to the fact that I am a workaholic), I'm enjoying being a part-time employee.

So far the third trimester hasn't been too eventful.   I can tell that I'm not as energetic as I was during the second trimester though.  I get tired faster, and my muscles/ligament hurt sometimes.  Leg and toe cramps are another unpleasant common occurence.  The other day, I actually had a finger cramp which was quite bizarre.  My right ring finger was stuck undernearth my pinky at pretty much a 45 degree angle.

I've been trying to do more walking in this trimester to keep myself fit.  Unfortunately, I didn't do as much as I should or could have during the first and second trimester.  As a sponsor of the Student Association at a boarding academy, I had the privilage of attending a Saturday evening activity we had planned--bowling.  I love bowling and thought I'd give it a try!  I learned quite quickly that bowling in the third trimester is NOT a smart idea.  After four frames my back hurt; by the end of the evening, I could barely walk; and the next morning...well, let's just say I was in pain for quite a few days.  In fact, I haven't quite felt the same ever since.  Ahhh, the first pregnancy is such a learning experience, eh?

The baby really likes to move a lot.  She rolls back and forth, kicks me in the ribs, and  even punches my bladder every once in a while.  The other day she got the hiccups which felt quite interesting.

Now we get to visit the doctor every two weeks instead of every month.  Also, we started taking childbirth/lamaze classes to help "prepare" us for delivery.
