On August 31, at 4:15pm, I was being dropped off at the front of my school & was waiting with Glin for Nora to arrive & for her mother to get there.I was dressed in a black dress with little red flowers all over it, & with a black cape thing that is open in the front on.Once Glins mom got there,
we piled in the car & listened to music from The Producers, & Cats.
We got to Chili's & ate there.(I ate a fajita pita)Our waiter was cool.Then we got in the car & put on Cats makeup.Glin was Bombalurina,Nora went as Teazer, & I went as Jemima.
My silver high heel shoes were killing me, but I cared not.Anyway, we went to the souvenir shop, and bought
nothing.We got into the building & bought a poster for signing, & a Cats
shirt.(Nora also bought a magnet) We walked around and sat in orchestra 10.My seat was 3 away from the aisle, seat 46, Nora sat 2 seats away from the aisle, & Glin sat on the end.We read the program for 15 minutes, then the lights dimmed & the Cat eyes were all over the junkyard.the set was beautiful!! Then, Demeter came out & did the car thing.Then "Are you blind when youre born?" happened, then I heard
people behind me screaming.I was like, "Why are they screamin-AAAAH!!!!" The Cats were running down the aisles with green flickering eyes, hissing at people & scaring the crap out of them!!!It was great!The show was beautiful, I liked it better than the video!(Except for Rumtumtugger, his voice I didn't like) Growltiger & Griddlebone was sooo funny!! In Magical Mr. Mistoffolees, when they threw the bucket, they missed about 3 feet away from him & the streamer fell out.Misto looked P.O.ed.But he popped back into character.Hey, the show must go on, yes?In the end, we ended up crying.And it's hard for movies & plays to make me cry.The lighting was awesome.The proscenium arch was filled with little stars.The junkyard Christmas lights were strung everywhere & over the audience.Macavity was cool.Nora used to HATE Jemima, & she now likes her.Glin HATED Victoria, & she likes her now.I HATED Skimbleshanks,& Jellylorum, & Jenny.But I like them all now.The guy who played Skimble was soooo hot, & friendly.We got our posters signed at the back door at the end, as the actors came out to go home.They smelled good.(heehee, they just took showers, we got to hug them!Tugger hugged me!yay!)So I challenge all the haters out there to go see Cats onstage.I bet you'll love them all in the end.I did.
