| There once was a noiseless toadstool.It did not speak, nor did it have any desire to.Frankly, I have no clue as to what it has to do with this story.Anyway, The Wonderful Gummi Worm.It was not multicolored, it was just green.It was a Wonderful Gummi Worm, because it decided a long time ago that it would go on the treacherous journey to search for the Headless Chicken's Beak.It set out into the wilderness to fullfill it's dream.It squiggled along until it reached a toadstool.The Wonderful Gummi Worm did not engage in conversation with this particular toadstool, owing to the fact that this was, actually, the Noiseless Toadstool.The Wonderful Gummi Worm would also liked to pat it on the head ,but alas!Noiseless Toadstools do not have heads on which to be pat, & Wonderful Gummi Worms do not have paws with which to pat it with.So the Wonderful Gummi Worm pressed on.It came across many caves that contained chickens with their heads attached, but The Wonderful Gummi Worm paid no heed to these anti-decapitated aviaries.He continued.Then one day, he discovered a burrow.Headless Chickens cannot see & would not know the ddifference between a cave & a burrow.Therefore,The Headless Chicken surely must reside here, he reasoned.But then something occured to the Wonderful Gummi Worm."Worm?" it said to itself, "Why do I not think of these things before setting off into the wilderness on a treacherous & life threatening journey to retrieve The Headless Chicken's beak?If The Headless Chicken lives in a burrow, it must not have a door. Thus, preventing me from knocking on it politely to steal it's beak from it!I am such a dolt! Oh, Crumbs!" it said exasperated.It turned & left for home. One Year Later The Wonderful Gummi Worm realized it's journey for The Headless Chicken's Beak had been pointless.For it is not possible for a Headless Chicken to possess a beak.Oh, Crumbs. |
