Rules for 6-A side Mens Volley Ball Tournament:
1. The 6 teams will be divided into 2 groups A and B.
2. Round-robin will be held within each group to decide the two top teams, which will qualify for Semifinals.
In case, all teams win equal number of games, another round of round-robin of each match of ONLY ONE set will be played.
Even after this, if all teams win equal number of games, TOSS will be taken to decide the semi-finalists.
3. Semifinals will be b/w the topper of one group with the runners-up of other group.
4. Final will be of 5 sets, whereas all other games are of 3 sets.
5. Umpires decision will be final during the play of the matches and Organisers decision will be final in case of any dispute/controversy.
6. Each set is of 15 points and there should be a difference of 2 points once the score reaches 14-14.
7. Rotation system (of serving) will be followed for all the matches.
8. Each team can have a maximum of 3 time-outs. Time-out can be of max 5 minutes.
9. Substitutes are allowed only when the ball is off-court ( meaning dead/ not-in air).
10.The ball ON THE LINE, is cosidered to be IN for all cases, including SERVICE.
11.Players who are NOT included in any of the teams, can only be taken, in case of non-availability of players.
12.Captain is solely responsible for the presence of all his players, during the scheduled time.
If any of his players are NOT available, he should try to get alternative-players (not included in any of the teams) and be prepared to play with less number of players, if he fails to get alternative players
13.Touching the net and crossing the middle-line on ground is considered as fault
14.Substitute is NOT allowed to serve, as soon as enters.He has to until atleast one serve is being served from his team or opponent team.
