National History

- It was the year of 2001, that 5 men made a lifetime dream come true. Kappa Psi Kappa Fraternity, Inc. was founded on August 17, 2001 in Tallahassee, FL by five Kaptivating Black Men. The fraternity was started by D. Sean Benjamin and Rollen Scarboro but were later joined by two others, Vermeil Haynes and John Manual. These men are the "Illustrious Elite" of Kappa Psi Kappa.
- Those 4 men set out and started to organize the foundation of the fraternity based upon promoting the high ideals of Brotherhood, Scholarship, Service, and Leadership. It was then that during the last stages of organization, a small recruitment effort was executed. The 4 Illustrious Elite where joined by Robert Smith and completed the foundation of the fraternity and made the current 5 Illustrious Elite founders of Kappa Psi Kappa Fraternity, Inc.
- Kappa Psi Kappa's esteem aim is to provide service to the community and to provide the brothers with an opportunity to fellowship and bond while giving back to the community. The brothers pride themselves on being a vessel for change and service.
- Kappa Psi Kappa Fraternity, Inc. has constantly remained a force of change in the African-American Community. Through several National Programs including Project G.I.V.E., Lights Out Program, Adopt-A-Highway, and March of Dimes. Also the Kappa Sapphires Club, one of the most notable accomplishments of the Fraternity, has helped to shape and mold young men and boys (17 or younger) nationwide.
- Also in the year of 2001, Kappa Psi Kappa Fraternity became incorporated under the Florida Articles of Incorporation. The fraternity was incorporated on October 3, 2001. The International Headquarters is located in Tallahassee, FL..
