Rictus
Neonate, Clan Brujah

Description: Rictus is very large, standing over 7 foot tall and weighing over 400 pounds. He isn't a handsome man, but his feelings and convictions run deeply. His size and strength make him a valuable weapon for Brujah, as does the depths of his convictions.

Background:As a child, before his embrace, Rictus noticed that he was different than other children. He was taller than them all, and not by just an inch or two, but he was on average a foot taller than the tallest child in his tribe. This advantage gave him respect among the rest of the children. He would be the "leader of the pack" when the other children would go hunting, or get into fights with other tribes. No one knew why he was so large, because medical information at the time could not support any evidence of any thing wrong with him. Actually, it was a tumor on the growth part of his brain that made his size so massive. Upon embrace, that tumor became in active, and at the apparent age of 26, he stopped growing at the tremendous height of 7 ft6, and weighed a massive 450 lbs.

Rictus' sire, an ancient Brujah vampire from Carthage, was a vengeful man. Like many Brujah he blames the Ventrue for the fall of this fabled city, unlike many Brujah, he originated there. Over the course of many years, Dominic has supported both the Inconnu, as well as the Sabbat. He currently supports the Inconnu. Although he supports no love for any of his children, he does use them to seek out new knowledge about the Ventrue. Occasionally, as in the case of Rictus, one of his children will break loose from his fathers Sabbat background. Although the hate for the Ventrue remains in Rictus, the way of handling them is different.

Early during his embrace, Rictus was on a hunt for a Ventrue in the northern parts of what is now known as Canada, he was nearly killed, after being ambushed by 6 Ventrue, thought to be descendants of his sires nemesis Bulscu. Rictus was put into a deep torpor for 8 months. Unfortunately, these were the coldest months of the year, where the temperature reached as low as -45. Because of this, Rictus developed the Touch of Frost flaw, where his cold, inhuman touch, can be a dead giveaway of his true heritage. After he awoke from Torpor, he found he needed to regenerate, but the only way he could do that, was to drain animals, and then eat them. By eating these animals for a few months, he developed the Eat Food Merit, which today helps him maintain the masquerade.

Today, he seeks out some of his own people, so that he can attack the Ventrue in numbers. With his natural leadership abilities, he hopes to gather a group of Brujah that are dedicated to avenge Carthage. Until he can find enough that are willing to help, he will remain idle, hiding his true intentions.
