Kevin Zinger

Kevin Zinger

Kevin Zinger

Kevin Zinger, C.E.O. of Anti-Hero Mgnt. SRH Clothing and Suburban Noize Records; is the mastermind that manages the band. (Kottonmouth Kings)

In the early 90's, Kevin Zinger founded SRH (Supporting Radical Habits - So-Cal Ruthless Hardcore) in Mission Beach, San Diego. After years of promoting clubs, concerts, and bands (such as: Pennywise, Sublime, and 311) SRH developed their own clothing line. (Kottonmouth Kings and SRH)

Kevin met Brad X (Daddy X) when he (Kevin) booked the Humble Gods on a Blink 182 shown put on by SRH in San Diego. (Kottonmouth Kings)

Zinger is no conventional manager in a suit and tie. You'll be more likely to see him skateboarding down Hollywood and Vine or taking rips off the bong with good friends the Kottonmouth Kings. He says the only charts he pays attention to is the Hemp 100 in the High Times magazine... (and at the time the original Dopeumentry was filmed in 1998 they were #11). Also, Kottonmouth Kings were Doobie: Band of the Year; as pointed out by Kevin in the Dopeumentry (2001).

As if Kevin isn't over loaded as it is, (what with SRH, SubNoize, and managing KmK), he also managed groups like Corporate Avenger and Mix Mob. As being the executive producer on So Cal Drunks by Mix Mob and Mad Dog America by SX-10.

Kevin Zinger truly is an amazing (and busy) person, between managing (producing) and running (co-running) two companies, he still manages to never lose his cool and is still an Anti-Hero of the business world.

Biography written by Taxgirl. Information from Kottonmouth Kings as well as other fan site. Check out the links page for those sites.

Anti-heroism is something that I'm trying to do myself with my business. I explore the possibility that anything can be done, it's just a matter of who can do it rather than how to do it. It’s about leadership of people instead of projects. Very similar theory to the "bottom-up" hierarchy, except the top still leads, but leans toward Unitarian goals. Do more for others, and take care of your people. Let the experts do what they do, and you do what you do. It’s about making something as a unit where the entire unit profits and not just the leadership. aka.. Together we'll make something fantastic!

Thanks Dave at KmK Unoffical for that great description of Anti-Hero Management
