Kythnos:  The island has a fine bay and is renowned for warm springs. It is one of the barer islands, but has a great appeal for those who like the treeless scenery of the Cyclades.

Serifos:  The main town, Hora, stands back on a pyramidal hill, a particularly charming village as seen from the sea.  A rare kind of pink flower, indigenous to Serifos, grows out of the walls in abundance.

Paros:  An island famous for its natural beauty and also famous since classical times for its wonderful marble.  One can visit the ancient quarries, from where marble was procured to make some of the most famous statues of the world

Naxos:  The largest island of the Cyclades, famous in mythology as the place where Theseus abandoned Ariadne, after slaying the Minotaur.  There are ruins of a Frankish castle, a 6th century BC temple, and the ancient marble quarries, where there is an immense incomplete statue approx. 2.000 years old.

Myconos:  A dry windsept island, Myconos with its white houses down to the water’s edge and its characteristic windmills, has become one of the darlings of the jet set.  All forms of entertainment by night including bars, restaurants, discotheques and tavernas.  Myconos is also known for its beautiful sandy beaches.

Tinos: This island is known chiefly because it is a place of annual pilgrimage, when thousands of Greeks flock there on August 15th to worship the miraculous icon of the Virgin Mary.  The icon was discovered on the island in 1822, and a great church has been built to house it.  The island has some very fine unspoiled beaches and there are mountain villages with picturesque houses, excellent examples of the island’s singular architecture.
