Appearance: Kineta is fairly average, as far as High School students go. She’s about 5’6, and her weight is distributed evenly throughout her body. Except for her chest. She doesn’t seem to have very much of one, and it sometimes bothers her. However, people mistaking her for a boy are soon reprimanded harshly. Intense physical exercise has kept her fit as a fiddle, to use the clichéd simile. Her face is ovular, with high cheekbones and a small chin. Her almond-shaped eyes are a peculiar shade of brilliant green which is quite rare (at least, that’s what she heard). She has a long, slender nose that is rounded at the end. Kineta’s mouth is not very attractive; as her lips are thin and cracked. She doesn’t take very good care of her skin so although it is acne free, the texture is rough and relatively unpleasant to the touch. Her cheeks are framed by dark brown bangs on either side, which trail down to the bottom of her chin. The rest of her hair, however, is golden blonde. She keeps it up with chopsticks, creating a spiky ring of hair behind her head. Her neck is slender, sloping down to small shoulders and slender arms. She has large hands and feet, which seem out of place on her. Her stomach and rear end are quite small, so she has more liberty of dress than if she were a little heavier. She usually wears soft, faded jeans. Her style is half punk, half prep, so don’t be surprised if you see Kineta wearing an Abercrombie and Fitch t-shirt and about 20 bracelets on each arm, coupled with 6 necklaces (One of which is the infamous Tiffany‘s Bean). She loves clothing, and loves to blend the styles. Regarding shoes, she has all kinds. Boots, sneakers, pumps, platforms, high tops, you name ’em, she’s got ’em. When she walks, she sort of… skips. She is used to hopping and jumping around, as many of her hobbies include this action.

Status: She’s just your average sport lovin‘, punk rockin’, way alternative chica.

Personality: Loud, and sarcastic, Kineta is typically New York. Not afraid to confront her elders, not afraid to verbally shred her enemies. Her tendency is more towards violence than peaceful agreement. In the most traditional way, she is protective of her family name, her heritage, and her birthplace. She takes ’yo momma’ jokes very seriously, and is more than ready to engage in a physical fight to show the offender a thing or two (this is why she has numerous scars and knows her way blindfolded to the nurse’s office). Brawls and fights are a regular, and her parents don’t fret about them anymore. They know she picks her fights carefully…Most of the time. Her energy level is high, and so is her combat skill. Kickboxing is her specialty, and a few moves will show any poser who’s really boss. Despite all signs pointing towards ‘mindless jock’, Kineta is actually quite intelligent. She simply doesn’t use it to her academic advantage. English is her best subject, because her vocabulary is quite extensive. … Although it’s mostly used to insult other people. Loud, vulgar curse words are a staple in her daily speech. To her friends, Kineta is a mixture of both a 10 year old boy and a trendy, fun girl who acts their age. She fluctuates between the two, sometimes roughhousing, sometimes fawning over boys. On occasion, she will surprise people with a tender and insightful comment. She isn’t always what she seems. There are always layers to uncover, and each one is not a mask, but a part of the real Kineta. She is a well-rounded person who knows what she wants, when she wants it.

Goals: Kineta wants to take a year off before heading out to college. Drift a little bit, take a part-time job. That’s what she’s looking forward to right now.

History: Born and bred in the city of New York, Kineta is a real city-slicker gone suburban. Her parents were high class people, and occasionally had a brush with the jet set. Her father, Clyde Kass, spent his days in and around the Wall Street Stock Exchange. He was well respected as a businessman, because he had immense talent in his field. Her mother, the ever glamorous Penelope Kass, would play the charming hostess and mother. And while marriages fell apart around them, they stayed madly in love. Most peculiar it was, since relationships at their level were so fickle. But there they stayed, and they nurtured Kineta in every way possible. They taught her to be confident and to stand up for herself. It was they who instilled her love of family ties and her belief in a stable cause. As parents overall, though, they were very peculiar. When she said she got in fights, they would treat her wounds, then laugh at Kineta‘s description of the latest asshole to cross her path. They never reprimanded her, because she never got caught. She never got caught because she made sure her fights took place outside of school, if they took place at all. Their relationship was stable and fun. In school she was liked by everyone, since they were all similar. She had close friends whom she loved like her own sisters. They had promised to go to prom together, and to go to each other’s weddings.
    But nothing lasts forever, and in time, Kineta’s parents decided that New York, however great, wasn’t the place for them anymore. Like any classy family, they wanted a taste of ‘real America’. Or, in other words, small town life. Naturally, Kineta rebelled violently against this idea. What could possibly possess her parents to leave the most wonderful city in the entire world!? But however much she protested, they would simply smile at her and say gently that she would love her new home in Edenville.
    Edenville. Even the name was stupid. What kind of morons would name their town Edenville? Not like it’s a resort or anything.
    Kineta’s thoughts consisted mostly of things along those lines, and when the time finally came to leave, she swore she had never cried so much in her life. Promises were made to keep in touch, although they all knew the bonds would be irrevocably severed. So off they scampered, to idyllic Edenville, where Kineta has been since the beginning of this year.
Perfect. Just perfect.

Powers: Kineta’s power is elemental based, and she can combine one or more elements to create an attack.
Shock Absorb: This attack is mostly defensive, creating a cushiony barrier to absorb the impact of physical and certain elemental attacks. It is weak against fire, and can only be used for about 10 minutes.
Elemental Chaos: In this, she can mix elements that would normally cancel each other out (I.e. Fire and ice, lightning and water), and launch them at her enemies in a single beam or ball. These can be blocked or weakened by a non-element (non-elements being say… Wind, earth psychic, etc.), but it’s quite a powerful attack, so completely blocking it is difficult to do. It also tires her out and her vision becomes foggy for a few seconds.
Other: Her attacks, apart from the aforementioned ones, are mainly physical, and she can move very quickly. She can’t jump very high, but she can kick and punch like nobody’s business.
