Hey you guys!
We are thrilled to get to share our love of Taylor, and now Isaac and Zac, with so many of you once again this year. And, we welcome all of you new members to our list! We're simply amazed at the great response we have had so far!
Because we have so many new folks that have signed up, we just thought it would be a good idea to let them know about a few things they might not be aware of, so if you've heard us say any of this before, we hope you're not too bored!
First of all, we do have a little website that you might want to bookmark for future reference. The addy is: http://www.oocities.org/tay_a_day_2000/ . At this website, you can find all the archives to past TADs. We love to look back at them sometimes, and we know some of you do as well. And, if you got started a little late, you can go see what you missed. :) At the end of every month, a new archive page will be added for that month.
Another thing that you can do there at the site is change your e-mail address if the need ever arises. There is a link to the listbot sites where you can do this. TLS and TC can't change it for you, because this is all handled through listbot, just like when you signed up.
Last but not least, you can also sign the guestbook if you'd like....we love to hear from you members!
Another thing that we feel needs to be addressed is the pictures that we use. We love getting your Hanson pics to share with everyone on the list! Please don't send tagged versions, though, because it is highly unlikely that they will be used because tags take away from everyone's viewing pleasure! :)
If we receive a picture from someone that personally belongs to them, we try our very best to thank that person within our message, and if we have messed up every now and then, we hope you will not be too upset....we do our best, but we're only human. Sometimes, we get pictures that people have sent in that they just liked and found somewhere and we don't have any idea where they came from. And, if we have no idea where they came from, then it is impossible for us to give credit to the photographer. Hopefully, those folks will be understanding enough to realize that it is impossible for us to know this information, and just be happy that we can all enjoy the most important thing, which is, of course, the subjects of the pictures! :)
And, if you have sent us a picture in the past and it still hasn't been used yet, don't give up. They are safely stored in our folders, and still might turn up in a TAD or a HAD in the future! Ahhhh....so many wonderful pictures, not enough days to go around!
Again, we welcome everyone to TAD and HAD. If you like it, please let others know about it. Hopefully, our lists will help just a LITTLE bit while we all try to get through the upcoming Hanson drought! We know they certainly help us!

As surely as the sun rises each day So my love will never change And though the years may come and go My love will only grow and grow
~"Surely as the Sun", Hanson
Welcome to what we hope will be another great year for Tay-A-Day 2001!!!
~TC & TLS
Q: How far along are you from producing other people's projects?
Taylor: Well, we're away off because there's not a moment to spare right now. In your head you'd love to explore that if there was any time. But to be honest, it's about running into a project or band that wanted to work with you that you really felt passionate about. It really comes down to the project.
~Music Biz, September 2000
A big thank you to Hannah for today's lovely photo! :)
Q: What's been the biggest lesson you've learned about the music industry?
Taylor: The problem is that it is a music business. We do it because we love the music; writing songs and playing shows is something that we not only want to do but we have to.
~Music Biz, September 2000
We don't think it's important to tell people the colour of the underwear we wear or the size of our shoes!

As you all know, we rarely promote something unless we feel strongly about it. Below you will find the link to a petition which we think warrants all our signatures. If nothing else, your signature may serve to let the industry know that we do care about Hanson, regardless of whether or not they were recognized by the Grammy's "this time around". Since our list is 1,700-members-strong, we felt that doing our part by asking you all to support Hanson, might make a difference on some level. Please read the information below and sign the petition.
Many thanks,
~TC & TLS
The RIAA and NARAS have been contacted about no Grammy nod for Hanson. They seem to feel that Hanson fans no longer exist. When asked what would change their mind, the response was a petition with 5,000 signatures. Easy! Show them your love for Hanson by signing the petition here: http://www.123petitions.com/sign.cgi?id=cali4hanson@hotmail.com$2 Thank you. ~H.A.N.D.S --- HANSON fans from ALL NATIONS DEDICATED to their SUCCESS
"I think belief is a big part of the ability to succeed. And we just believed in the band.......I believe in them and their ability to be around for a long time. I see them doing this for the next 30 or 40 years."
~Sterling McIlwaine, On Managing Hanson, Music Biz, September 2000
A big thanks to Sharon for her Cincinnati pic!
"Ike and I both have our driver's license. Me, I fear for everyone else on the road."

"Probably the worst and the best is being recognized, because walking down the street and people going 'You're Hanson', and asking for your autograph is cool. But it's also the bad part because it's okay, I can't go some places because it's going to be a problem, going to be a pain."
~Taylor, "Good Morning Norway"
Thank you, Rebecca for the great picture! :)
"It's nice to come back to somewhere that you've got your friends."
Taylor, discussing Tulsa on "Good Morning Norway"

Thank you, Marica, for today's lovely collage!
"I think when it comes down to it, songs are just written from your heart and from your mind and when you put those together, you've got a song."
~Taylor, TTA press kit
Thank you to Rob for the great pic!
"As time goes by you never write about different things, you're still writing about the same thoughts and feelings. It's just that you have slightly different things to pull from. So all of a sudden it's got a different flavor or twist to it and you have a different perspective of life as time goes by."
~Taylor, Select MTV News, March 4, 2000
"Taylor took control of the stage from the moment the first note was played and didn't stop till the curtain dropped. He led the crowd in song but also convinced them to clap their hands, jump up and down, and do everything but stand on their heads during the two-hour gig."
~16 magazine on the 9/2000 Hammerstein show, January 2001
"I think there's so many things out there that we haven't even touched on. We're hopefully at the beginning. It's been really exciting to have new music and have different people respond to it. I'm just hoping we'll be able to do it for a long time. You never know where it's gonna go."
~Taylor, 16 Magazine, January 2001
"No matter what you do, there's good stuff and there's bad stuff. You just hope it evens itself out in the end."
~Taylor, "Anteprina Festivalbar", Italy, Spring 2000
"We're pretty much the same people we always were, just a little bit taller."
~Taylor, MTV Select, Spring 2000
"We're always crammed in a confined space together so being in a studio is like every day life, actually."
~Taylor, MTV Select, Spring, 2000
"We're not really big shoppers."
~Taylor, MTV, Germany, Spring 2000
"Have you ever loved somebody so much It makes you cry Have you ever needed something so bad You can't sleep at night Have you ever tried to find the words But they don't come out right Have you ever, have you ever Have you ever had someone steal your heart away You'd do anything to to make them feel the same Have you ever found the one You've dreamed of all your life You'd do anything to look into their eyes Have you ever closed your eyes and Dreamed that they were there And all you dan do is wait for that day when they will care"
~Have You Ever, Brandy
"Why do birds suddenly appear Every time you are near? Just like me, they long to be Close to you. Why do stars fall down from the sky Every time you walk by? Just like me, they long to be Close to you. On the day that you were born The angels got together And decided to create a dream come true So they sprinkled moon dust in your hair of gold And starlight in your eyes of blue. That is why all the girls in town Follow you all around. Just like me, they long to be Close to you. On the day that you were born The angels got together And decided to create a dream come true So they sprinkled moon dust in your hair of gold And starlight in your eyes of blue. That is why all the girls in town Follow you all around. Just like me, they long to be Close to you. Just like me (Just like me) They long to be Close to you."
~"Close To You", The Carpenters
**We are not sure who created today's art, but it sure is nice, isn't it?
Taylor, how do you feel being the "lead" singer? You can try to deny it, but the media is making you out to be that...
"LOL! Looks like we've got a shark here! You know the thing about doing what we do is people always kind of try to pull you apart and define each band member. I love being in the band and love singing. And I think it's cool that people respond to what we sing. Hanson has always been the three of us."
~Taylor, Yahoo! Chat, December 22, 2000
Taylor says he enjoyed being able to collaborate, "getting to meet with different artists and do so many things that are exciting, musically. We keep trying new things, keeping a totally open mind, never knowing what will happen. I think of an album as a time capsule. It captures what's happening that day, that year." ~"Handsome is as Hanson Does", by Leslie Gray Streeter, 9/11/00
"I don't think it's about being sex symbols. It's about doing what we're doing. I think playing music is what it's always been about. But, I guess that's always something that you have to deal with, too." ~Taylor (quote obtained from the Hanson Quote Search Engine)
Many thanks to Carissa for the use of her delectable picture of Taylor!
Taylor, where did you get the shirt that had a pot leaf on it and why did you wear that in public?
"The pot leaf sweater is first of all really comfortable, and that was the reason I got it in the first place. But I did think it was interesting to turn a few heads. NO I do not smoke marijuana or support it, but I thought it was a cool sweater. End of story."
~Taylor, Yahoo! Chat, December 22, 2000
Capeesh? ;o)
"We're not talking about killing people or anything (in the lyrics). It's just pop rock," Taylor says, combating a particularly bothersome cell phone as he talks. "It's real music. But I don't think there's any connection. There's more of a connection to the Black Crowes than to (other 'boy bands.')" ~"Handsome is as Hanson Does", by Leslie Gray Streeter, 9/11/00
Tang: I saw Tay with a tattoo. What does it say?
IkeTayZac: It says, "the plane...the plane". ;o) That was a Hanson stamp Tay put on his upper arm, not a tattoo.
~Hanson Answers Some Frequently Asked Questions, MOE 10
LOL! You gotta love their sense of humor.
Tay, this writer duly notes, has - consciously or not - developed into quite a flirt. One can only imagine the wreckage when this boy starts dating. ~"Never Mind the Mmm-bollocks", Spin Magazine article by Kate Sullivan, June 2000
We appreciate Cristi allowing us to use her hot picture of Taylor for today's TAD!
"Jonny Lang is a prodigy and I don't know if he can get any better. They're amazing and it's awkward to tell them, 'That wasn't good enough', because you're not as good as a player. But how many producers were as good as Eddie Van Halen? And they still said, 'Do it again'." ~Taylor, "Hanson: This Time Around", Music Biz Magazine, September 2000
"Your eyes burned like fire Through my heart Although we were lifetimes apart"
~Lenny Kravitz, "My Precious Love"
GL: Would you mind being stark naked in front of a total stranger?
Taylor: Is there a rule? You all have to get naked?
~Girl's Life magazine
Oooh, well! Count us in on THIS little game! >;-) TLS & TC
Special thanks to Shirl for her Daytona picture. Ahhhh.....what wonderful memories this picture brings back! :)
GL: Assuming you are stuck on an island, would you rather be with men or women?
Taylor: I would rather be with guys because that way I would not feel overly compassionate for anybody. I would not do anything different for a guy. If I was on the island with a girl, I would feel inclined to take care of her. There would be a little bit more of those compassionate, gentlemanly acts that just kind of happen in your general life."
~Girl's Life magazine
Awww...he's just so dang SWEET! :)
"So many unbelievable things have happened to us on the road that I wish I had the time to fill a book with them just so people could experience what it's like. We've been in every conceivable situation: running through hotel lobbies, having cars shaken, hair ripped out, clothes ripped off, traveling to three countries in a day."
~Taylor, Fort Wayne Journal-Gazette, October 8, 2000
Thanks to Kris for the hot picture!
"I always wanted to do a back flip on stage like Steven Tyler does, back flip on stage, but I've never been able to do one. Maybe one of these days."
~Taylor, TeenStar, Kansas City, 10/19/00
Thank you Kris, for your Nashville picture! :)
