Course Description
This course provides job specific training for entry level employment in the rapidly changing automotive after-market care field of auto body repair and refinishing.  Content includes frame and unibody repair, sheet metal, fiberglass, and synthetic materials repair, welding skills, preparation for and the application of primers and paints.  Business ownership, safety, leadership training, and career opportunities are also included.  The two- year program is designed to place students in the industry as an apprentice technician or prepare them for technical college for further training.
Students become members of Skills USA/VICA and participate in leadership and professional activities.
Student Qualifications
Auto Collision I
Must be willing to work with their hands and
     complete academic assignments.
Must have 10th grade reading and writing skills.
Must have good math skills.
Must be able to follow oral and written directions.
Must have good attendance
Must have few discipline referrals
Auto Collision II
Must have successful completion of Auto Collision I.
Recommendation of teacher.
Class Requirements
Auto Collision I
Must make a 100 on the Safety Test before allowed to proceed.
Must maintain a class notebook and bring supplies to class each day
Auto Collision II

May do internship in spring semester.
