For the record, I'll spare the minor details about my calls home. I never called my parents, but I did call Texas at least once a day. I doubt you people want to hear about those conversations. Now, by delcaration of BoBo, on with the journal.
April 27, 2001: (Day 2)
I find it rather interesting that one can get absolutely no sleep on a trip like this and not be tired; Yet, one can get that same amount of sleep at home, and be dead tired. I wonder why that is. Anyway. We are finally in Colorado Springs. We left the high school last night at about 5:30pm, Texas time. It's now noon, Colorado time. We jsut left the Air Force Academy. We visited the chapel there. I don't think I've ever seen a building so beautiful inside. The organ in the Protestant section is massive! The section of stained glass made the inside look so pretty. The architecture of the building was unusual, too. I liked it, but it was certainly not what I expected out of a military church. We're headed ot the mall now for lunch. Jeanette and I spent the first few hours after we left the school doing what we do best... eating everything in sight and talking about our respective guys. Well.. two guys for her. She can't decide which of them to go out with. I've just gotten over the soreness of trying to sleep upright against the window with Jeanette's head in my lap on my pillow. <11:16 p.m.> The dinner theater wasn't bad...'cept for the food. It sucked. The dessert wasn't bad, though. Jeanette and I shared a chocolate cake. The play, West Side Story, wasn't bad, either. Some of the actors looked too old for the parts they were playing. After leaving the AFA, we went to the mall. I spent more money than I should have. Bought a whole new outfit for the theater and maybe the band banquet. I forgot to write about that. Contest is tomorrow.. time for bed.

April 28, 2001: (Day 3) Our driver is a complete idiot. Last night, he ran a red light, making a car slow down in the middle of the intersection, and he apparently worships the gas pedal. And if he slams on that damn brake one more time, I'm gonna be pissed off. We just got done at contest. I've been in my dress since 7am this morning. Now, it's 3:30pm. I think my band played well, though, I kept getting short of breath. This higher altitude is a bitch. We're about to head to Elitch Gardens (Six Flags) and then head to Casa Bonita at about 8pm. We won't find out how we did today until the awards tomorrow. Elitch Gardens sucked. Two rides closed while we were in line because of the lightning. Jeanette and I ended up just getting an antique picture taken. That was a blast. There was this other couple there with alittle girl named Jasmine. The mother just wanted to wear something slutty, but the little girl looked sooooo CUTE. We got the pictures discounted from 55 or so to 44 because it took so long and the register was being stupid. Now, I'm sitting on the bus (8:23pm) waiting to leave for Casa Bonita... Joy.
Surprise, surprise. Casa Bonita was a lot of fun. There were performers diving into the lagoon, I was in a maraca conga line, there was an arcade and it was very pretty on the outside. There was a magic show while we ate (for some of us. The ones in the room we were in.) It was hard to find the exit through the maze of rooms and halls when I was trying to leave after buying more junk from the gift shop.

April 29, 2001: (Day 4) The awards ceremonies were dull. But, we wont about seven trophies (scores below). The Cave of the Winds was nice. Most places were about 2 ft too short for me, and in one place, I had to crawl on my knees and turn sideways to get through the passage. And I'm claustrophobic. It was pretty.. but it was annoying. The Royal Gorge was beautfil. I went down the train to the bottom of the Gorge (at a 45 degree angle). Very steep tracks. But it was nice and I got pictures. I've gone through 3 disposable cameras. I think I've taken enough pictures. The bridge there is the highest in the nation.
We jsut got done eating at Country Buffet. That was prety decent. Now, it's 8:30pm, Colorado time. I don't have much ot say about oday. Oh, at the gorge, we rode the carousel and kept changing spots during the ride. I went from a rabbit, to a horse, to a cat with a fish in it's mouth. There was also a goat and a zerba. carla kept wanting the goat. Heh   The scores for us are in red.....

April 30, 2001: (Head home) Breakfast this morning sucked. SO I just ended up eating some fruit. The ride home was pretty uneventful. I spent my time just thinking. This city looks so much like Calgary, it's scary. I've realized that I left a large portion of my heart in Calgary. Colorado Springs is beautiful, I'll give it that, but it hurt to think of Calgary. It also made me think of Jer and our fights, which is something I don't need right now along with everything else. I checked the boards on www.whatthefuck.com when I got back. Everyone on the boards is pissed off at everyone else and I'm semi caught in the middle. I've ended up writting Niroe, Ahz, and Jer. Gen had mailed me asking me questions. Oh the joys of the soap opera of WTF. This sucks.
I may be getting back into Rainbow Girls again. It'll give me something to do and to keep my mind off things. And it's something I enjoy. So thats better than nothing. heh.

May 5, 2001: By second decree of BoBo, I've been ordered to spare the readers of the details of last night. We did have a hell of a storm though. WooHoo! ;)Kitty likes storms..   Anyway. Didn't get home till after one from taking a..hmm.. friend to the bus station. I was proud of myself.. got home from Dallas without getting lost. ;) (Trust me.. thats a feat in itself for me.)The relatives aren't coming over tonight, so my weekend is going to be boring as hell. Again. grrrrr. ;) It's gonna be boring until Monday at least. Oy. I'll write more if anything else happens. If not.. then you know for sure I have no life. hehehehe
