Robertson came to America 1685 he came from Scotland North they were ofthe clan Athol and were deticated to the Mary Stewart Cause. Mary Stewartwas the Queen of Scots and Fighting with Elizebeth I of England. Laterdate Elizebeth cut her head off. The Robertson, were exciled to theAmericas and arrived before 1675.We do not know his first name or hiswife. But there were at least 2 children. Charles and John Robertson.Charles had a son Col. Charles Robertson born 1740 Brunswick Co. Va. anddied 1797. He married Susanna Nichols in 1758 in Wake Co. N. C.. Johnmarried and had a son General James Robertson born 1742.Brunswick Co. Va.He married Charlotte Reeves. Col. Charles Robertson was a Major underCol. John Sevier during the early Revolutionary War. He was wounded atWogford Iron Works on 08-08-1780. He served at Thickery Fort and thebattle of Musgrave Hill.He participated in the American Victory at KingsMountain. He served as a field officer for Washington Co, Tennessee withthe rank of First Colonel. He and Sussanna had children one of which wasWilliam Robertson born 1774 and died 1794. He was born in WataugeTennessee. He married Jennie Clendenning. they had a son James Robertsonborn 1796 in Kentucky. He married in 1818. She was a Green born about1800. They had William Riley Robertson born 12-17-1819 Kentucky hemarried Artilla Powers 05-05-1842. He died 11-1866 in Bodega BayCalifornia. William Riley was a cousin to Kit Carson as well as Lemueland moses.Her married in Texas and came to California as a Texas Rangerin 1846.He was a captain of a wagon train to California in 1852

Va. and had his children there but later moved to WakeCo. so his children could go to The Liberty Academy a very prominateschool for the times.
