Left to go buy cattle in kansas with a large sum of money but was neverseen again.Spring of 1869.Came from Barren Co. Kentucy about 1869 on awagon train to Missouri and settled there. After settleing in MissouriJoel left for Kansas to buy cattle and was never heard from again. He hada large sum of money and it was tought he was bush-whacked. Mary thenraised the children alone with the help of the older sons.
