I have found John Babb's name listed twice in the book HISTORY OF
COLUMBIANA COUNTY, OHIO. Talking about various early settlers in andaround
East Liverpool on page 174 it states "East of the town was John Babb, a
blacksmith, who put up on Babb's Island the first blacksmith shop in thecounty."
On page 21 he is listed as a Grand Juror that was paid $1.30 for hisduties.Had 10 children
He and his Wife are buried in "OLD 5th ST. Cemetery
