Death Notice:Alonzo E. Bowman, 81, of 827 Avondale St., a retired handler in EastLiverpool
area potteries, died at noon Tuesday following a lingering illness.
Mr. Bowman, son of the late David and Jemima Bowman, was born in East
Liverpool and was a member of the First Presbyterian Church. He wasemployed
last by the Homer Laughlin China Company.
Surviving are his widow; Ida Bushong Bowman; a daughter, Mrs. OlgaMcNicol; a brother, Emerson Bowman; and a sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Gould ofEast
Palestine.
Services will be held at 2pm Friday from the Dawson Funeral Home by Rev.Rudolph Miller. Burial will be in Riview Cemetery.

Death Notice:C W. BOWMAN, 65, TAKEN SUDDENLY
Executive of Hall China Co. Succumbs Wednesday
Charles W. Bowman, 65, superintendent at the Hall China Company andwidely known in the ceramic industry, died in his home in East LiverpoolWednesday, following a five-day illness of an asthmatic heart ailment.
Mr. Bowman was taken ill early last Saturday morning but his conditionwas not considered serious. He died suddenly Wednesday afiernoon at 2:15.
Born in Maryland, a son of Mr. and Mrs. David Thomas Bowman, he came toEast Liverpool when a boy. He learned the trade of 'presser' at the oldDresdan Pottery and later went to the '1China Works" plant of theKnowles, Taylor, and Knowles Co. Some years later he was appointed clayshop forman of the "Old End" plant. He then became the superintendent ofthe Smith-Phillips China Company.
He then went to Carrollton where he was superintendent for the Carroliton
Pottery Co. for about eight years. His next position was in Akron with the
Surrmit China Co. It was in August, 1928, that he went with the Hall China
Co., where he remained until his death.
Mr. Bowman married Miss. Sadie Leake on Dec.20, 1895. Mrs. Bowmandiedinjuly, 1935.
He was an active member of the First Methodist Protestant Church, holdingoffices on church boards at various times. He was also a member of RiddleMasonic Lodge 315, and "The Grotto", a Masonic organization in Canton, OH.
Mr Bowman leaves two daughters, Mrs. Homer Lutz who resided with herfather, and Mrs. Wells Alexander, of Alanta, GA; two brothers, Alonzo andEmerson Bowman of East Liverpool; two sisters, Mrs. Clara Croxal of EastLiverpool, and Mrs. Elizabeth Cochran of Bethany, WV., and twograndchildren.
Funeral services will be held in the Martin Funeral Home Saturday at 3p.m.
Burial will be in Riverview Cemetry.

Mr. Bowman, born in East Liverpool, was employed by the Hall ChinaCompany. He previously worked 32 years in the Knowles, Taylor, andKnowles China Company. He was a deacon, t:rustee, and a member of thechofr of the First Babtist Church.
He leaves his widow; one son, Thomas F. Bowman of Steubenville; adaughter, Mrs.Walter Wood of East Liverpool; two sisters, Mrs. HarryCochran of Wheeling, WV, and Mrs. Clara Croxall of East Liverpool; andfour grandchildren.

Stephan came to America at the age of 12 with his stepfather, John Miga.By the year 1913, Stephan was joined by his Mother, Maria, his sister,Jenny and his brothers, Joseph and John in America.
Stephan, in later years, settled in Indiana Harbor, Indiana and metVictoria Hanzi. They were married in... and raised six children:Victoria, Stephan, Peter, Jennie, Max and John.
Victoria and Stephan Fodor were both musicians. Victoria played theZimbalam; Stephan played the large bass fiddle. Stephan used a large bowand also strummed with his fingers. The Zimbalam was a flat instrumentwith musical strings which are tuned.
Barbara Roach graduated from Cleveland Heights High School in Cleveland,Ohio and went on to Kent State University to college where she receivedher teaching degree. She teaches in the Cleveland School System. She metJames Anthony Kobe at Kent State where he was majoring in BusinessAdministration. They were married on June 14, 1969.. Little is known ofJohn Kobe's background; he was adopted. He is of Slovenian descent. A sonJohn was born to Barbara and James Kobe on May 22, 1975. Barbara andJames divorced in 1976 and she and lives with her son, John in Euclid,Ohio.
