When you come to New Brunswick with Taz, if flying in, I will pick you up at the Fredericton Airport and make sure you catch your flight home after the hunt . Once settled in it's basically your call on what you want to do for the day. Practice shooting, do a little fishing or visit the baitsites. You don't need to bring your own stands but If you would feel better in your own then by all means bring one. I use several different gorilla brand stands and most hunters find them plenty comfortable. Monday morning I will cook breakfast and we can get ready for the hunt. Meals will be ready when you feel like eating as some want big meals before they sit in the stand and some would rather eat after we return to camp. After the first day you may have to cook your own breakfast (I will supply the food for you to cook) as I may be busy baiting or tracking a bear.
On recovery I will make a decision depending on the sign whether to track that night or leave it 'till morning. If I decide to track at night I will have extra help available.
The hunt is a 6 day hunt. All baits will be active and trailcams will be used before you arrive to ensure you're not sitting on a bait with only a couple yearlings visiting. This doesn't guarantee a bear but it will give you an advantage.
If you kill a bear I will take you to our local taxidermist if you wish or I will skin your bear and help cut up the meat for you to take home. Once you have killed a bear you may sit in a stand and video or fish if you like. Some hunters would rather spend the day helping bait and get the other hunter to the stands.
An active bait can be many things for some outfitters. From a few young bears to a band of racoons. I will do my best to put you on a bait being visited by as many bear as possible and with the best chance at taking a P&Y bear. Keep in mind that even with all this work to give you the best chance possible it's still hunting and you need to be at your best as well.
The shot distace is usualy 10 to 15 yards from 12 feet high but I can change it if you wish. I use bread and plenty of sweets such as pies, cakes and cookies.
You arrive on sunday and leave the following sunday! When you arrive we will have a meal and head to the baitsites to make sure the stands and baits are ready for you on monday then its back to camp for a little fishing or practice shooting your bow. Satilite TV at the camp for those that want to just sit back and chill after the trip.
I don't mind drinking but anyone that has had a few to many will not be placed in a stand until the effects from he alcohol are well worn off.I have safty harnesses but you may want to bring your own as it may be more comfortable!

I have noticed some outfitters have a wounding bear policy. I do not. I do ask that we make every effort to recover your bear before you sit again. As far as how long you sit in the stand, I will leave that up to you. You know how long you can sit still in a stand and I would like you to be able to sit at least the last 3 hour of daylight without being uncomfortable than having to stand up and stretch at the prime time!
