We were admitted on November 15th at 10:00 AM. They gave my mommy this stuff called Pitocin at 11:30 AM, which helped bring me into the world faster! My mommy really didn't like this machine that tested her blood pressure. At 1:30 PM, Dr. Huber came in a broke my nice warm water sack, boy that was weird. About 15 minutes later, I started feeling a lot of trembling around me. Then at 3:45 PM my mommy's new best friend, Dr. Underberger, came and gave her some stuff that seemed to make her feel much better, me likey that a lot! Mommy was a little tense, but once Dr. Underberger gave her that good stuff, her body relaxed alot and then she started to open up more. At 7:45 PM she opened up big enough for me to be able to come out and see everyone. At 8:40 PM I started moving, it felt like mommy was squeezing me hard!
At 9:50 PM, Dr. Hollerman (who acted and looked a lot like Dr. Huxtible from the Cosby Show) came in and gave me a few tugs and then WOW it was soooo bright and cold! Dr. Hollerman looked at me and said, "this looks like a 9 pound baby!" My mommy couldn't believe it, she thought I would only be about 7 pounds, I sure surprised her, huh!
They decided to name me Brooke Wyant Baldwin. I'm not sure how Brooke came about, other than it sounding like a nice name. My middle name, Wyant, was my Gramma Dee's maiden name (my Daddy's mommy), but she's in heaven with God now, so my parents thought it would be a nice way to remember her.
The following day, I started eating for the first time at 5:40 AM, my mommy did such a good job, I've been eating great ever since. My mommy is the best mommy in the whole wide world, she takes such good care of me!! |
