At the River's Edge
Nothing is a surprise to God. You just have to ask Him. We'll help you make this make sense.

I've been reading The God Chasers by Tommy Tenney. In the first chapter, Tommy describes his desperation for God, and a prayer he prayed that God would come in and ruin everything that wasn't His.

My wife and I, in love with our church, and desperate for God to take it and make us what we are called to be, prayed that prayer.

Ummm...

I'm trying to explain why it's been so long since I've blogged.

Well, the next day, one of my children decided to circumvent the protections I've put on my computer. The registry was destroyed, and I lost my computer. Remembering the prayer, I had to laugh (when my kids weren't looking.)

I wonder what God is trying to say.

One of my friends at the carm.org forums (best Christian forums I've found) laughed at me and said I should have "spoken over my computer and healed it..." How could I have, when I spoke over it and destroyed it?

Isn't it funny how we have a love/hate relationship with the computer. I see my kids spending lots of time on the computer, wanting to IM friends instead of eating dinner with the family but Ashley is 18 and Ryan 20 so I guess I'm just happy they're in our house instead of being out who knows where? But I love the computer because now I can read these blogs and hopefully can listen to the sermon when I miss it (like today). Love, Sandy
