At the River's Edge
Nothing is a surprise to God. You just have to ask Him. We'll help you make this make sense.

For the downtrodden

For you have said, "I am in mud! I'm up to my ankles in mud." And so you are.

And you have said, "Look! All my brothers seem to be standing on solid grounc!" And so they are.

"Yet, You have told me to build!" And so I have. Build.

"But all there is around me is wood and hay and stubble. How does one build with wood and hay and stubble?"

You can't. "Then how do You say, 'Build'?"

Child, look! I have placed you in the gap. You have seen it. You have cried out to me concerning the gap, and I have heard you. Stand now and build, and fill the gap.

"But, Lord," you say again, "how can I build with wood and hay and stubble?"

You can't, says the Lord. But I have provided you everything you need to build my house. Take the wood and hay and stubble. THROW IT ON THE MUD! Trample it down. Trample it down. The bricks you produce will build a wall the tempest will not move. Trample down your wood. Trample down your hay. Trample down your stubble.

Now look! You stand on solid ground, and you have the bricks you need to build. NOW BUILD!
