On March 6, the Clearwater Chargers will be hosting a Collegiate ShowCase at the Eddie C. Moore Recreation complex featuring six soccer teams that will give coaches a look at some of the best high school soccer talent in the State of Florida.
Clearwater Chargers U-17 and U-18 Boys teams
Bay area All-star team made up players from Sarasota, Tampa, Lakeland and Clearwater
A North Florida team from the Tallahassee area
The FC Omni from Orlando, the current FYSA State Champion in the U-17 age bracket
A team from the Adidas Academy in Bradenton where the U-17 National Boys team is currently training
Each team will play three games of 45 min. each in a round robin format starting at 9 a.m. on Saturday, March 6th and finishing at 5 p.m. the same day. Approximately 25-30 College Coaches are expected to attend to scout the talent.
As an added bonus on the night before, March 5th at 8 p.m. at Eddie C. Moore Complex, there will be a College Exibition Game between the University of South Florida and University of Central Florida men's teams.
We think this would be a great event for the soccer community of Pinellas County to support. There is no charge for either day or event. It's a good family activity to attend and certainly a great soccer happening!
