Final Fall Soccer Poll

Update 11/20/98: I just found out from the FHSAA home page that Bradenton Academy defeated Orangewood Christian 4-1 in the final. Bradenton Academy is the school affiliated with the adidas Soccer Academy, which is part of the Nick Bollittieri Sports Academy in Bradenton, FL.

The final FACA poll, as reported this date in The Orlando Sentinel, follows. It would seem to indicate that Bradenton Academy defeated Orangewood Christian in the state championship game Saturday night, although that score was not published.

1. Bradenton Academy (12-8)
2. Orangewood Christian (21-3-1)
3. Lakeland Christian (17-3-1)
4. Pompano Beach Highlands (19-3)
5. Bradenton St. Stephens (16-3-1)
6. Tallahassee Maclay (9-8)
7. St. John's Country Day (17-3-1)
8. Summit Christian (17-3-4)
9. Ft. Myers Canterbury (8-5-5)
10. Lakeside Christian (12-4)
11. Seminole Presbyterian (17-6-2)

Fall soccer competes in a single classification, boys only, and is for small schools with no football programs. Most schools would be in the smallest FHSAA group, Class A.
